I am a bilingual Licensed Professional Counselor, license number 84343. I attained a Bachelor of Science in Business Management (2005), Master of Arts in Education (2007) and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (2018) from the University of Phoenix in Santa Teresa, NM. I specialize in serving Hispanic children and families. I utilize person centered, strength based, and relational cultural theories. I am skilled in trauma informed care, motivational interviewing, and cultural competence. I have experience working with adolescents, women and families who have experienced trauma, loss and grief, domestic violence, family separation and migrant children in shelter settings. Additionally, I have worked with veteran, adult and geriatric populations in psychiatric hospital settings. I currently serve refugees and Latino communities.

I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Sociology (2013), and a Master’s in Education with a concentration in Community Counseling (2016), both from the University of Texas at El Paso. I have previously worked with individuals and families that faced trauma, domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. I am skilled in trauma-informed care, cognitive behavioral therapy, crisis intervention, and cultural competence. Additionally, I have worked with individuals who have experienced separations, loss and grief due to their migration. I currently serve refugees, asylum seekers, and the Latino communities.

Tabitha Munoz

I am a bilingual Clinical Licensed Social Worker, license number 63747. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work (2014) and a Master’s Degree in Social Work (2015) from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas. I specialized in serving Hispanic children and families and illegal immigrants. As a second generation American I have been exposed to the challenges and difficulties individuals and families face when immigrating to the United States. I am empathetic to the needs of immigrants and their families and understand their dreams of creating stability and a secure future for themselves and their families. I strive to continually learn and grow in my profession to better serve my clients to enhance their opportunities of legalization. 

Laura Gaitan

Intake Analyst Specialist

I am a Bilingual Psychologist with a master’s degree in clinical psychology from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. I have expertise in evaluating and supporting migrants from diverse backgrounds through their legal status process in the United States, while also coordinating multidisciplinary teams of mental health professionals. I bring extensive experience in research, mental health promotion, and prevention. Moreover, my professional interests lie in providing trauma-informed and culturally sensitive psychosocial practice. I am committed to the development of clinical research approached through a systemic and family therapy perspective that has a tangible, positive impact on the day-to-day lives of vulnerable populations.

Angélica Murillo

I am a bilingual Licensed Professional Counselor since 2017, certified by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors. I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice (2006) from the University of Phoenix in Santa Teresa, New Mexico and a Master of Science in Professional Counseling (2017) from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona. I specialize in serving Hispanic families, providing culturally responsible support that honors unique strengths, traditions, and challenges. My clinical practice is grounded in person-centered, strength-based, and relational approaches. I am trained in trauma-informed care and motivational interviewing, with an emphasis on providing services that are sensitive and responsive to each client’s unique background and lived experience. My professional experience includes supporting children, adolescents, and adults impacted by trauma, grief and loss, intimate partner violence, and family separation, as well as working with migrant children in shelter settings. I have also served specialized populations, including military veterans and older adults, in both inpatient psychiatric facilities and outpatient therapeutic settings.
